St Andrews Old Course

When people think of St Andrews they automatically think of the Old Course, and rightly so. However St Andrews is the Old Course and much more. Every golfer dreams of playing at St Andrews. It is the Home of Golf, where the game was first played six centuries ago and yet, despite its age, the Old Course remains a true test for today's golfers.
Let us start with the "Old Lady" herself, the course is certainly one of the must-play courses in the world; however obtaining that illusive tee-time is not always easy. Having a very strong and longstanding relationship with the various establishments and organisations in the area, Scottish Golfing Holidays can access those tee-times on your behalf.
Guests that do not have a pre-booked tee-time should not be put off travelling. We we will assist you by placing your names in the daily ballot, or "lottery" as it is sometimes known, which has proved over time to be very successful for our guests in securing an otherwise elusive tee-time.
Other St Andrews Courses

To compliment the Old Course there are many other excellent golf courses nearby. These include the New, Jubilee and Eden courses, which are part of the St Andrews Links. There is also Crail, the seventh-oldest golf club in the world, which is only a fifteen minute drive from the town. Across the bay we have Carnoustie's Championship Course and the Open Qualifying course of Monifieth and Panmure.
Some of the newer Scottish Links courses have also been built close to St Andrews. Kingsbarns is a stunningly beautiful links course, which is another must-play location, and let's not forget the two courses at St Andrews Bay, the Devlin and Torrance courses.
For all golfers a visit to St Andrews is the fulfilment of a lifelong ambition. Playing golf in the true Scottish Links tradition will surpass your expectations and deliver a lifetime of memories.
